2022 Family Fun Day & Player Certification Information

Hello Jags Family & our local community,

This year, our family fun day will be held on Sunday, February 27th, 2022, from 12 PM to 5 PM, at Charlie’s Bar & Grill in Stuart, FL. The family fun day is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year, and it is open to the public.

At this event, there will be music, food & draft beer specials, a 50/50 raffle, bounce houses, silent auctions, games for kids, and so much more. Year over year, this event is loads of community fun and helps to increase awareness and donations to our league. These donations help our board to provide equipment, uniforms, and future scholarships to our players, and it gives our players the chance to bond and have fun with their football brothers/sisters off of the field.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

This year, we are asking all parents to please step up and assist our board in collecting donations for the 2022 Family Fun Day! This event provides the majority of the fundraising needed for our league to provide uniforms, equipment, and more. It is essential that we all work together to make this event successful. Furthermore, the 2022 Martin County Jaguars teams have grown substantially since last year, and our need for more equipment, helmets, and pads has increased enormously. While it isn’t a requirement for parents to help, it is STRONGLY encouraged this year more than ever, as our league has grown to double its normal size.

The items we usually collect for this event, include:

  • Gift cards
  • Gift vouchers
  • Monetary donations (cash or checks made out to the Martin County Jaguars Youth Football Organization)
  • Brand new (unopened) products
  • Service related vouchers
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Travel vouchers

Nail salons, hair salons, food service companies, sporting goods stores, grocery stores, clothing stores, shooting ranges, trampoline parks, crafting stores, psychic shops, etc. are all good places to go for donations. We will accept any and all items that can be auctioned in our silent auction or added to one of our baskets for raffle, and we are grateful for monetary donations to continue to provide a great experience every season. Our board members go door to door to ask for donations, and this year, we can really use parent involvement as our league has doubled in players.

The Martin County Youth Football Organization is a 501-3C non-profit organization and our board can provide you with any documentation you might need in order to receive local donations, gift cards, and items to raffle off. If you intend to collect items or monetary donations from local businesses, please reach out to Heather to discuss any questions you might have through the Band App or via email at martinjags@gmail.com.

The Family Fun Day is open to the public, so we encourage you to invite friends, family, and anyone you would like.

Player Certification Details

All players MUST BRING ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES and parents must bring photo ID to complete their certification with the Youth Spring Football League. Our board cannot stress the importance of bringing your ORIGINAL birth certificate. You will not be able to play in the games without having this document on certification day. Additionally, please make sure that your payments have been made and your paperwork is complete prior to player certification at the Family Fun Day. If you are missing any paperwork, please visit the forms page and complete the paperwork and make your payments to Heather or any other board member at the field as soon as possible.

Cornhole Tournament Registration Information

Please register your Cornhole Team using the 2022 Cornhole Tournament Registration form. All online registrations are due by February 26th, 2022 before midnight. Late signups must register in person at Charlie’s Bar & Grill between 11 AM – 12 PM on the day of the event. Please have your receipt available on your mobile device or printed up to show proof of payment for entry into the tournament. REMEMBER: The cornhole teams must include one adult and one child to play. The child must be 18 and under, but if the child is 18, they must be a high school student, or the team is disqualified from playing in the tournament. There will be a prize for the winning team!
